What Are The Best Leagues For Football Trading?

One of the first steps when using any football trading system is to decide on which leagues you will be trading.

Not all leagues are created equal and whether you utilise the overs markets, lay the draw or both teams to score, the one thing you are going to need is plenty of goals.

Personally, I use lay the draw a lot and have a number of different variations such as LTD1 and LTD2, but regardless as to which I am using the fact remains that I will need goals so that I have as many opportunities as possible to trade out for a profit.

But which leagues are the best?

Ideally, you will want to focus on leagues that have a high percentage of games that see over 2.5 goals.

Below you can see a table of what I believe to the be the best leagues to trade and includes both Winter and Summer leagues. All stats are for the 2016/17 seasons and are courtesy of the SoccerStats website.

For ease of use, the table below can be sorted via each column or you can search for a specific league or country by just typing in the first few letters.

Note: MLS stats are for 2017 season.

In August, my best performing leagues were the Swedish Allsvenskan and Superettan with 11 out of 15 wins. Others that performed well were the German Bundesliga, Swiss Super League and Dutch Eredivisie, but these are of course still in their infancy.

Now, obviously it’s not just about picking the right league, you still need to select the right matches. Choosing the right leagues to trade is most definitely the best place to start though.

Personally, I really love the Seria A, Dutch and Swedish leagues and the MLS, but am happy to trade any of the above if the stats look good.

With the Winter leagues now up and running, lets hope we see similar if not better stats for this season to help increase our profits!
